I am trying to determine where the title of the piece fits in here. Where is the warning beacon in the image? Is it the flames on the towers?
The only issue I have with this piece is that the peril being faced is suggestive but we can't really relate to it. I think this is because there is no-one in the image that is visibly "suffering" under this apparent attack. The only thing we see are dragons and a structure that could be abandoned. In other words, the 'humanity' is implied, but not present.
